Legal, corporate and wealth structure for the company and for the partners' families.
As the business grows, so do the contracts, partners and assets that need to be defined and on record.
What we do
What the Protection practice covers
Corporate legal
Contract support, preventive labor and tax advice, and compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), with the involvement of a partner law firm.
Corporate structure
Company incorporation, amendments to the articles, partner agreements and corporate reorganizations.
Wealth and holdings
Setting up family and asset holding companies to organize assets and simplify succession.
Governance and succession
Advisory board, family protocol and succession planning.
In practice
Who owns what, designed before signing
In an asset holding company, the assets and equity interests are brought together in one company, while the operating company keeps running the business. Not every company needs one: the assessment comes before the design.

How it works
From diagnosis to ongoing follow-up
- 01
Assessment
We map the current legal, corporate and wealth situation of the company and, where applicable, of the partners' families.
- 02
Prioritization
We identify the points of greatest exposure and organize them by urgency.
- 03
Structuring
The partner law firm and Veltis design the structure (contract, holding company, protocol, board).
- 04
Implementation
Execution of the corporate acts, registrations and documents required.
- 05
Maintenance
Ongoing follow-up to keep the structure up to date as the company and the family change.
Who it is for
A starting point for every company size

Growing
Wealth holding company, detailed partner agreement and the start of the conversation about succession.
Large companies
Corporate governance with an advisory board, a formal family protocol and multi-entity corporate structures.
In the ecosystem
How the Protection practice connects to the others
Base
Every new corporate or wealth structure needs to be reflected in the accounting and the tax regime from day one.
Capital
Well-organized partners and clear governance help a company get through due diligence in a company sale or acquisition, or in fundraising.
Management
Well-structured contracts and internal policies help reduce the risk of labor liabilities.
Technology
LGPD compliance is a prerequisite for any system that handles customer or employee data.
Frequently asked questions
Questions from anyone evaluating
Is Veltis a law firm?
No. Veltis is an accounting, finance and technology company. Legal work is carried out by a partner law firm registered with the OAB, and Veltis integrates it with the company's accounting and finance.
Does every company need a wealth holding company?
Not necessarily. It depends on the assets, the family structure and the succession goals, which is why the assessment is the first step.
Does a wealth holding company eliminate ITCMD, the state inheritance and gift tax?
No, it does not. In some cases, it may change the form and timing of taxation on the transfer of assets. The analysis is done case by case by the partner attorneys and the tax team.
What is an advisory board?
A group of experienced people who advise the partners on strategic decisions. The advisory board gives guidance, and the decision remains with the partners.
How long does it take to structure a succession?
It varies with the complexity of the assets and the family. The team provides an estimated timeline after the assessment.
Do you serve individual partners, in addition to the company?
Yes, when the matter involves the partner's personal assets and family succession.
